BRESCIA BERGAMO MILANO
The A35 brebemi motorway (“Brescia-Bergamo-Milano“) starts from the interconnection with the A4 Milan-Venice motorway near Brescia and, crossing the Lombard plain with a west-east position and involving the provinces of Brescia, Bergamo and Milan Metropolitan City, is interconnected with the A58 Tangenziale Est Esterna di Milano (TEEM) near Melzo.
The connections to the local roads are ensured by the numerous toll booths along the axis (Travagliato est, Travagliato ovest, SP19, Rovato, Castrezzato, Chiari est, Chiari ovest, Calcio, Romano di Lombardia, Bariano, Caravaggio, Treviglio).
Overall, the motorway has a development of about 62.1 km and is equipped, for almost all the way, with 3 lanes per direction. About 43.5 km of the motorway is in close proximity to the railway line AC/AV Milano-Verona.
Particularly important, as engineering works, are the viaduct crossings of the rivers Oglio, Serio and Adda.

ENTRY INTO OPERATION
For the realisation of 62 km of motorway.
For the realisation of a new ordinary road or the existing road redevelopment at provincial and municipal level, including SP "Cassanese" and SP "Rivoltana" in the Milan area.
For environmental mitigation and redevelopment of the territories crossed.
For expropriation and resolution of interference with existing systems.
For safety on construction sites.
For activities at the expense of the Contracting Station: planning, construction management, testing, monitoring, testing, unforeseen events.
Talking about design and construction, one of the most critical points was the crossing of the 3 main rivers that Brebemi found along its path: the Oglio, the Serio and the Adda.
The study of the technical solution for their crossing was complex and required multiple design refinements born as a result of the numerous comparisons with the competent bodies; in particular for the design and implementation of these crossings the following conditions had to be respected:
Get a "line as slender as possible”, to minimize the impact on the surrounding environment; Overcome the grooved riverbeds of the rivers Oglio and Adda with a unique special span of 90 m, without placing stacks in the riverbed;
In order to comply with the required conditions, and at the same time to try to minimise both the costs and the impact on the surrounding environment, it has been planned to build continuous truss bridges with prefabricated blocks, assembled by solidarization of individual crutches made with prefabricated reinforced concrete and symmetrical advancement cantilevered from the pile head.
The Brebemi - A35 is a modern motorway, equipped with the latest technologies at the service of travelers and infrastructure security. The Operations Centre, located in Fara Olivana, adjacent to the Romano di Lombardia tollgate (BG), ensures the management and supervision of the A35, as well as the information system for users.
Through optical fibres, radio bridges and telecommunication cables, operators receive in real time data, information and images from the video surveillance system consisting of cameras, SOS columns and atmospheric detection stations, that allow a capillary control of traffic conditions, weather conditions, visibility and any abnormal event, as well as the management of rescue requests. The operators of the Operations Centre are also connected to the C.O.A, Centro Operativo della Polizia Autostradale (Highway Police Operations Centre), of Novate Milanese, to the Chiari Highway Police Subsection, to the Assistance and Rescue Services, to ensure the most timely and effective assistance and rescue interventions.
On the access routes to the A35 motorway stations there are variable message panels (with pictograms and text messages), the aim of which is to provide users with timely information on the conditions of transit and weather, and any restrictions on the services offered. There are also anti-fog systems along the entire route with LED lighting, which allow drivers and truck drivers to be constantly accompanied while driving in poor visibility, always having under control the route.
Reduced transport cost (time, fuel, operating costs).
Reduction of CO emissions and environmental and noise pollution.
Reduced accident rates thanks to the high safety standards of the new motorway.
Greater competitiveness of existing enterprises; new settlements.
Generated by new settlements and the growth of existing businesses.
Growth of transactions and, consequently, of real estate values.
