This is a very complex project, both on an engineering and environmental level, for the remarkable development of the route, the importance of the connected infrastructure and the type of territory crossed.

The project of the IPB motorway (Pedemontano Road System Interconnection with the Brescia – Milan direct motorway link) provides a route that develops mainly in the north-directionSouth for about 19 km, from the Tangenziale Sud di Bergamo to the SS11 at Treviglio, at the junction to the A35 Brebemi; the connection is also planned in an easterly direction until the interconnection of the A36 Pedemontana with the A4, at the height of the Municipality of Osio Sotto.
