IPB

The IPB regional motorway is included among the priority road works of the Lombardy Region: the intervention is part of the package of “regional highways”, together with the Broni – Pavia – Mortara and Cremona – Mantova (DGR n. VII/9865 of 19-07-2002).

The relevant functions of the granting entity were conferred by the Lombardy Region to CAL by a specific Agreement signed on 14 November 2021.

The project of the motorway provides a route that develops mainly in a north-south direction for about 19 km, from the southern ring road of Bergamo to the SS11 at Treviglio, at the junction to the A35 Brebemi; the connection in direction east until the interconnection of the A36 Pedemontana with the A4, to the Municipality of Osio Sotto.

The motorway infrastructure is provided with 2 lanes (plus emergency) for direction of travel and with toll Free Flow system. The route develops substantially in trenches, with junctions organized mainly according to roundabouts at two levels.

The project also includes some connected works of local interest, reviewed and optimized at the 2012 Services Conference.

The project is located in the Province of Bergamo and, in the latest project update under approval, affects 11 municipalities.
