TANGENZIALE EST ESTERNA DI MILANO
The Outer East Ring Road of Milan connects the A4 motorway “Milan – Brescia” at Agrate Brianza with the A1 motorway “Milan – Bologna” at Melegnano, for a total development of about 32 Km.
The route has 3 motorway interconnections (motorway A4 MI-BS, motorway A35 Bre.be.Mi. and motorway A1 MI-BO) and 6 toll booths (Pessano con Bornago, Gessate, Pozzuolo Martesana, Liscate, Paullo and Vizzolo Predabissi).
Particularly important, as engineering works, are the viaduct crossing of the Lambro river and the artificial tunnel underpass of the Martesana Canal (SS. 11).

For the construction of 32 km of motorway.
For the construction of new ordinary roads or the redevelopment of existing roads at provincial and municipal level.
For environmental mitigation and redevelopment of the territories crossed.
For expropriation and resolution of interference with existing systems.
For safety on construction sites.
For activities at the expense of the Contracting Station: planning, construction management, testing, monitoring, testing, unforeseen events.
The TEEM is mainly developed in trenches (7.1 kilometers) and flat country or surveyed low (20 kilometers), have been realized important works of art (1 kilometer of artificial tunnels and 2.1 kilometers of viaducts) to resolve the interferences with territorial areas of particular value or with the other infrastructures present in the area.
The implementation of the A58-TEEM was accompanied by the implementation of numerous mitigation and compensation measures aimed at bringing together, as harmoniously as possible, the infrastructure with the territorial-environmental context.
The starting point for the definition of mitigation and compensation works was therefore a thorough study of the territory and its naturalistic, landscape and environmental values on the basis of which, the working group set up with the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and the Lombardy Region, was able to identify the overall strategy to be implemented and then the detailed content of the interventions.
TEEM has led to the construction of about 91 hectares of green works along the motorway axis, 29 hectares of green works along the connected roads, 20,000 square meters of barriers and noise-absorbing dunes, 8 Special Environmental Projects covering a total area of 49 hectares and 22 km of cycle paths.
The East Outer Ring Road of Milan - A58 is a modern highway, equipped with the latest technologies at the service of travelers and infrastructure security. 26 variable message panels connected to the Radio Room provide real-time traffic information, while 16 light towers with the latest generation LED lighting, ensure maximum visibility in all weather conditions.
The entire motorway axis is fully monitored continuously by the Control Centre thanks to the installation of a dense network of 96 high definition cameras and 51 radar sensors, Interconnected by 70 kilometers of fiber optics that guarantee maximum safety and accurate 24-hour traffic control.
This widespread electronic network is coordinated by an advanced operating center, equipped with Vidiwall and specialized operators, to ensure 24-hour rescue or traffic maintenance.
Reduced transport cost (time, fuel, operating costs).
Reduction of CO emissions and environmental and noise pollution.
Reduced accident rates thanks to the high safety standards of the new motorway.
Greater competitiveness of existing enterprises; new settlements.
Generated by new settlements and the growth of existing businesses.
Increased transactions and, consequently, real estate values.
In Milan, Brescia and all the urban centres along the route (quality of life, hospitals in Milan and Brescia, Linate Airport).
Of the municipalities crossed by A35 Brebemi.
